FSPCA Preventive Controls for Animal Food Course – March 6 – 8 in Twin Falls

Food Safety Specialist and Assistant Professor, Jeff Kronenberg, of TechHelp and the University of Idaho will host a 2.5 Day Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) Preventive Controls for ANIMAL Food Course from March 6-8, 2018 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twin Falls, Idaho. The new FSMA Preventive Controls for Animal Food Regulation is intended to ensure safe manufacturing/processing, packing, and holding of food products for animal consumption.   This course was developed by the FSPCA and is the “standardized curriculum” recognized by FDA. Participants who complete the course will receive a registered PCQI Certificate from IFPTI, AAFCO, and FSPCA.

This FSPCA Course satisfies the new FSMA Regulation that requires processing facilities to have a trained resource person or “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)”  who has completed a specialized training course such as this one that was developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and is recognized by the FDA. The PCQI person will oversee the implementation of the facility’s food safety plan and other key tasks. (See 21CFR117.180 (c) (1))
