In addition to personal business counseling, Idaho Small Business Development Center offices throughout the state host a variety of valuable workshops and events. One topic that caught our attention recently was Cybersecurity. Nearly every day we hear stories of how various cyber attacks can put individuals and businesses in peril. It is astounding that 60% of small businesses that are hacked do not survive six months? SBDC will address this increasing threat by hosting a Cybersecurity Roundtable On Tuesday, October 10, 2017, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Nampa Business Accelerator.
Attendees of the Cyber Security Event will:
– learn practical, actionable steps to protect their business.
– be taught in easy-to-understand language.
– watch live demos of low- and no-cost tools and best practices.
– work side-by-side with industry experts.
– leave with a custom draft 5 part cyber work plan for their business.
This interactive training is designed for a general audience of small business owners with little to no knowledge of this particular area of risk management. The event will cover the basics, but you will leave comfortable enough to implement the instructions you’ll receive.
And remember, 80% of cyber events can be prevented with basic risk management.
Note: The above-described programming for this event will run from 8:00-12:00 with lunch to follow and is intended for a general audience. After the general morning session, we may be able to arrange industry-specific programming or a session of particular interest based on demand. To request a breakout session, please email Laura Mathews at email@example.com.
Fee: $ 20.00
