What You’ll Learn

Green Belt Certification will give you the experience and confidence to execute Six Sigma improvement projects within your work area.

You will be able to:

  • Deliver a significant financial return to your organization through completion of a Six Sigma improvement project.
  • Help identify, prioritize, and charter future Six Sigma projects in your work area.
  • Use Pareto analysis, process mapping, and other techniques to define Six Sigma projects,
including critical input and output variables.
  • Measure critical variables and analyze data.
  • Use analysis techniques to identify, reduce, and prevent quality problems, defects and delays in your work area.
  • Translate analysis results into recommendations for improving target processes.
  • Apply statistical and non-statistical control tools to sustain the gains from Six Sigma project improvements.

This 8-day program provides the Green Belt participant with skills and knowledge in the application of the Six Sigma improvement roadmap and methodology, as well as training and experience in many of the Six Sigma tools. Each participant should have an improvement project from their organization to pursue during the sessions. An instructor is avail-able to consult with each participant on challenges presented by their projects. It is not required for Belt Certification and continue education credits. Completion of our Green Belt Course qualifies you to take our follow-on Black Belt Course.

Course Content
Six Sigma is a proven business initiative that produces breakthrough improvements in quality, delivery, customer satisfaction and profitability. Our Green Belt training program follows the classic Six Sigma DMAIC improvement roadmap (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control). The program follows the American Society for Quality (ASQ) recommended Body of Knowledge with comprehensive training material that also serves as an excellent reference for subsequent learning and review. Instructors combine theoretical knowledge with substantial practical experience, and in-class exercises. Classroom training sessions are interspersed with periods of work on actual company-supported projects.
