Background

Jolene Cram is the Food Safety Project Manager for a multi-state initiative of the MEP National Network, of which the TechHelp is a part.  She is a second generation Idaho native with over 20 years of experience in the food industry working with companies such as J.R. Simplot Company, HB Specialty Foods, and Kraft Heinz Company. Positions included Senior Food Scientist, Director of Development and Process and Portfolio Manager in technical departments such as Research & Development (R&D) and Innovation.  Ms. Cram was most recently the pilot plant manager for the University of Idaho Food Technology Center in Caldwell, ID.  She is also the owner of Pharaoh Innovation, LLC, a food consulting company.

Jolene assists in connecting food manufacturers and growers in Montana, Idaho, and Washington with Food Safety Specialists. As part of the MEP National Network, TechHelp serves as a trusted advisor to help manufacturers comply with regulations and deadlines of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). By working with other states, we are able to conduct more outreach in a shorter amount of time, resulting in a safer food supply. Jolene works from an office at TechHelp’s Headquarters in the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University near her Caldwell, Idaho home.

I am excited about working jointly with TechHelp, Impact Washington and Montana Manufacturing Extension Center. It has been a pleasure getting to know food manufacturers in the pacific northwest throughout the years and now I can leverage knowledge and relationships to partner with food safety experts and bridge gaps that manufacturers may have in meeting food safety regulations.
