TechHelp Learning Management System Meets You Where You Are
TechHelp is delighted to unveil our Learning Management System or LMS that allows clients to take a growing number of manufacturing-related courses online at their own pace, space, and time. TechHelp’s LMS gives Idaho Manufacturers access to a flexible, interactive online learning platform that makes learning convenient, fast, fun, productive, engaging, cost-effective, and trackable.
“Day-to-day operations can be hectic- but getting the training you need to sustain your businesses shouldn’t be. We wanted to create something that was flexible and could be worked into tiny 15-minute blocks or in large 4-hour blocks. This platform meets you where you are,” said Catherine Cantley of TechHelp and the University of Idaho who led TechHelp’s LMS effort. Catherine encourages users to send in ideas for future courses. “Let us know what you need and we will build it,” said Cantley.
Our growing offering of online LMS courses includes:
- Human Food Regulations – 20 to 30 Minutes. $8.99
- Introduction to Lockout Tagout – 15-45 Minutes, $39
- Current Good Manufacturing Practices – 3-4 Hours, $199
- Food Allergen Shift Meeting – 15 Minutes, $8.99
- Food Allergen SME Training – 3-4 Hours, $199
- Introduction to Food Manufacturing for Entrepreneurs – 4-5 Hours, $149
- Building a Food Safety Program with the Idaho Food Safety Cooperative Program – $2,900

If you have any questions, please contact Catherine at 208-426-2181 or catherinecantley@techhelp.org.
TechHelp will list all of our in-person workshops in the LMS so users can express interest in bringing a course to their company or community. In-person offerings include our popular Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Course and Training Within Industry and a full suite of courses tailored to meet food manufacturers’ needs.
TechHelp began building its LMS prior to the pandemic in order to meet the needs of rural and busy clients who don’t have time to travel or take a full day to attend an in-person course. “We’re trying to make life easier for our clients who need flexibility more than ever,” said Cantley.
When COVID hit, TechHelp’s Manufacturing Specialists quickly pivoted to an online learning environment and provided over 20 instructor-guided courses. That experience inspired the TechHelp team to accelerate the development of the LMS so learners could access essential workplace training materials via an engaging and informative online platform at their convenience.
Some TechHelp clients have already tried the LMS system. “I loved the Check for Understanding Modules and the easy flow of the modules that allowed me to take the course at my own speed and pick up where I left off,” said Randee Godfrey of The Retrogradery.
“The quiz at the end of the LMS course was fun; more like a game,” said Maria Clark, of Holy Smokers.
"We’ve always believed in the benefits of in-person, interactive learning as the most effective way for our clients to get their employees to embrace manufacturing best practices. In the past year, we learned that creative and meaningful use of LMS has a role in providing learning opportunities that can be incredibly beneficial and in some instances more impactful than traditional training courses."
