Macon Valves confirmed the product is Made in the USA but fails to meet the 55% minimum for domestically sourced content, thus does not comply with BABAA. The NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) requires a pyrgeometer, pyranometer, and accompanying accessories to capture direct solar radiation and longwave irradiance, which are critical for evaluating the net radiation budget at the ocean surface. Their data directly support NOAA’s mission to monitor and predict atmospheric and oceanic conditions, enabling high-quality observations vital for weather forecasting and marine operations. As reference, the CMP22 pyranometer measures shortwave solar radiation, essential for evaluating incoming energy at the ocean surface. The CGR4 pyrgeometer measures longwave infrared radiation, critical for quantifying incoming radiation from the atmosphere. Together these sensors allow PSL to determine the net radiation budget at the ocean-atmosphere interface, a core component of PSL’s air-sea flux programs.

222 Traffic Signal Loop Detector

A 222 Traffic Signal Loop Detector is a type of inductive loop detector that is used in traffic signal systems to detect the presence of vehicles at intersections or along roadways. These are installed in traffic signal cabinets and connected to the inductive loop wires embedded in the pavement. The 222 loop detector senses vehicles as they pass over or stop within the magnetic field of the loop in the pavement. When a vehicle enters the loop’s magnetic field, it changes the inductance of the loop, and the detector senses this change, signaling the presence of a vehicle. These loop detectors are used to control traffic signals at intersections, provide input for adaptive traffic control systems, and detect vehicle presence to adjust signal timing, improve flow, and reduce congestion.
