Background

My name is Chris Dagher (pronounced da-gər) and I am currently a college student at Boise State University studying engineering. My major is “Engineering PLUS” which lets me take classes outside of a single discipline, and that’s great because I couldn’t decide on one field. In addition to an engineering degree, I’m also getting minors in math, because I really love math, and computer science.

I’m passionate about a few things: good design, product development, broad knowledge and well-roundedness, and making meaningful things. These passions drive me to fully understand problems, so I can provide the most impactful and beneficial solutions.

Some non-engineering things I’m passionate about: Mediterranean food, theater, and the arts, mountain biking, hummus, sustainability, and people.

For anyone curious about my education prior to college, I moved around a lot, so it’s kind of a mess. I went to elementary and middle school, as well as my first year of high school in a suburb of New York City. Following that, I went to a boarding school in Maine for a semester and then lived in the woods in Wisconsin for about five months. Finally, I wound up in a small town (~7,000 people) in Idaho, and graduated from high school there.

“In addition to my studies in Engineering PLUS at Boise State, I am starting up a robotics firm, am the student lead for the Make it! VIP working with PlasticWorks, a plastic recycling initiative in Boise.”
