Background

Stuart Walker is a 28-year veteran of R&D in the food industry. He joined TechHelp as a Food Specialist in October of 2023 after nearly 12 years of working at the legendary Litehouse food company in Sandpoint, Idaho, where he was the R&D Director. 

For most of his career, Stuart focused on leading R&D Innovation and Technical Services teams with a traditional share of bench-top development experience. He is a proven solution innovator who develops and engineers new products.  He also redevelops existing products and processes to reduce cost, increase functionality, and integrate emerging technologies to create market success and profitability. Stuart has experienced success and satisfaction working in the finished food manufacturing and ingredient realms. He has experience with multiple product formats, including food coatings, spice/seasoning blends, rubs, injections, frozen food, bakery, cultured dairy, and both low and high-acid soups, dressings/sauces, and gravies.

In addition to his technical skills, Stuart is a seasoned and proven R&D leader. This experience culminated at Litehouse, where Stuart developed and mentored a product development team that focused on creating world-class flavors while driving high project volume and low overhead cost. Stuart’s team mastered the entire R&D process from concept development to commercialization and demonstrated award-winning leadership within the industry.
